Deadline Games (Total Overdose, Chili Con Carnage) has announced a new three year deal with publisher Eidos to create some ten new multi-platform games based on characters from animation studio Hanna-Barbera. No further information on prospective platforms either console or handheld was given in the release, but Deadline notes that the studio is behind such classic characters as Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and The Jetsons. Eidos first gained access to Hanna-Barbera properties as part of its parent group SCi's deal in December 2006, which also gave it rights to a number of classic and recent Warner Bros. properties, including Batman, Looney Tunes, and The OC. At the time, it was also announced that the agreement to license and distribute classic Warner Bros. properties came alongside news that Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. would be making an investment in SCi for 10.3 percent of its shares. Deadline has previously worked with Eidos on the release of its portable semi-sequel to the console game Total Overdose, Chili Con Carnage, which was released as part of Eidos' previously covered boutique division Secret Stash. The studio's postmortem of the PSP game was recently featured on Gamasutra.
