In-game ad company Double Fusion has promoted Jana Friedman to senior vice president of worldwide ad sales, replacing Julie Shumaker. Friedman was formerly sales VP for the company's Casual Games Group, and the company says her promotion will help Double Fusion build on its "double-digit" revenue growth over the past year. Friedman was originally brought in from Electronic Arts to help lead the company's 'dual focus' strategy targeting both casual and core gaming companies through in-game ad partnerships with game publishers. Sales director Aaron Lassila heads the company's core market sales team. Friedman's new responsibility include heading up in-game ad opportunities worldwide with the company's more than 30 publisher and platform partners. These include the most recently-announced exclusive partnerships with THQ, Sega, Eidos and Midway. "I am thrilled that we have a talent like Jana Friedman to build upon the successful foundation Julie Shumaker created here at Double Fusion," said company president Jon Epstein. "Jana has been instrumental in developing our successful North American media business, and we’re excited at the prospects 2009 will bring as we further our commitment to provide free and ad-supported games for everyone." Advertisers interested in opportunities within the Double Fusion Network; and developers and publishers interested in increasing their per-title revenues through integrated and dynamic ad placement opportunities should visit www.AdvertisingInPlay.com.
