Officials from IDG World Expo, organizers of the Entertainment for All Expo (E for All) have announced that registration is now open for the event, which is scheduled to take place on October 18-21, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the LA Live/Nokia Theatre. Although primarily a consumer event, the four day expo is seen as a partial replacement for the now significantly downsized E3 event, which also traditionally took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center – albeit in May and intended for press and trade visitors only. While the event will host a selection of new video games and technologies, representatives note that the expo will also feature other activities, including a performance by the Video Games Live concert series and an installment of the World Series of Video Games gaming tournament. E for All will also be the first public showing of the video game art-themed 2007 Into the Pixel collection. Other activities, including keynotes, gaming challenges, and live entertainment are expected to be announced in the weeks and months leading up to the October event. “With E for All, we wanted to create an inclusive, interactive environment that all people who are passionate about games can completely immerse themselves in,” said Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo. “The anticipation for E for All has been extremely high, and we are thrilled to be able to open registration even earlier than expected for the show that consumers have been waiting for.” For more information on the event, including registration details and ticket pricing, visit the official E for All event website.
