For the past few years, longtime Nintendo fans have wanted one thing out of the company's E3 press conference -- and although it was widely known that today's announcement would come, the reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for Wii was met with thunderous applause. Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and Bill Trinen stepped on stage together to demonstrate the game, which enhances the Wii remote and Nunchuk control scheme with the use of the Motion Plus accessory for direct 1:1 control. The demo was not without its hiccups. "Is someone out there using wireless?" joked Trinen, as occasional controller interruptions occurred. No launch timing was given beside "next year," although the game is playable on the E3 show floor.
