Publisher Ubisoft has announced a new Wii exclusive arcade motorcycle racer known as Nitrobike coming this holiday season, being developed by Left Field Productions - the same studio that updated Excitebike for Nintendo on the Nintendo 64. Ubisoft says players will take control of rocket-propelled motorcycles in this arcade-style game, racing against the clock or in various offline and online multiplayer modes and unique online mode. No longer a Nintendo-exclusive developer, Left Field has also recently released a number of two-wheeled multiplatform titles including MTX Mototrax and the PSP's Dave Mirra's BMX Challenge. Said Ubisoft VP of publishing Jay Cohen, “Ubisoft is thrilled to be introducing the first Motocross game available for Wii. Nitrobike’s fun and fast-paced gameplay is sure to be a hit for Wii owners for the holiday season.”
