Reports last week that Electronic Arts officials were about to sign a $1 billion deal for exclusive rights to use NFL player names and likenesses have been confirmed as untrue by both parties. The well regarded The Sports Journal, which first ran the rumors, has also retracted the story. Source: Slashdot
