Electronic Arts and developer Planet Moon (Giants, Armed and Dangerous) have announced the latest in EA's new Casual Games label with Smarty Pants, a Wii remote enhanced trivia game with action-based gestures for "ages eight to eighty." EA says the game tailors questions to the contestant’s age, allowing people of any age to play together, and otherwise adjusts difficulty levels "to provide continuous stimulation and challenge." The Wii remote will be used to "make everything a game, from spinning the category wheel and tug-of-wars over correct answers, to 'dance-offs' for additional points." The title will also include a beat-the-clock family mode, and a "a rapid-fire competitive mode" -- both cooperative and competitive modes with a total of 20,000 questions in multiple categories. Said EALA producer Daniel Hagerty, “The gesture-based answer methods are a perfect match for the Wii. The experience isn’t just about who can press a button the fastest, it’s about getting the whole family up off the couch to get their minds and their bodies engaged.”
