Xaitment's XaitEngine AI solution will be integrated with Emergent's Gamebryo LightSpeed development platform, the companies announced today. "The integration of Gamebryo Lightspeed and xaitment will enable our customers to easily add AI to their game," says Emergent VP of partner programs John Austin. Xaitment says its XaitEngine, the core tech behind its mesh-oriented AI solution, enables high-level simulated behaviors, and its modules include features for game as well as application logic control for lower-level AI options. The engine is still purchasable as a stand-alone, or customers can buy modules separately. Gamebryo is a cross-platform game development engine toolset designed for current and next-generation game development. The company recently rolled out its LightSpeed product upgrade geared for real-time feedback and rapid prototyping, iteration and development module-building on the Gamebryo engine. "Together with Emergent we are extending the benefits of Gamebryo LightSpeed by enabling an easy integration of high quality AI for behavior modeling," says Xaitment CEO Andreas Gerber. "The embedding of our XaitEngine into LightSpeed marks another important and expansive step for our customer and our company."
