Newsbrief: Bellevue-based studio Motiga has brought on game industry veteran David Reid to serve as its senior vice president of publishing as it ramps up production on its debut offering, the free-to-play multiplayer PC action game Gigantic. Reid has a long history in the industry, having most recently quit his post as chief marketing officer at CCP when the company shuttered its San Francisco office last month. Reid has also previously served as an SVP of publishing at Trion Worlds and a publishing president for NCsoft West, as well as marketing chief marketing executive for GameTap and Microsoft's Xbox 360 business. At Motiga he'll be overseeing the 2015 launch of Gigantic, which takes heavy inspiration from popular MOBAs like League of Legends and Dota 2.
