Hironobu Sakaguichi, the so called “father of Final Fantasy”, has founded a new development studio in Japan named Mist Walker, and is already working on a new console role-playing game. The game has apparently been under development since 2001. Sakaguichi hopes to attract major Japanese industry figures to work on future projects, specifically Final Fantasy character designer Yoshitaka Amano and manga artist Takehiko Inoue. The new studio’s exact relationship with Square Enix is so far unclear, but more details are expected as the first game nears release. Source: The Magic Box
