Representatives of Infinium Labs have done little today to assuage concerns that the company’s Phantom console is anything but a scam or, at best, a woefully misconceived concept. In a deal with publisher Riverdeep officials have announced what they describe as a range of “beloved brands” for the system, including Carmen Sandiego, Clue Finders, Reader Rabbit, Zoombinis and Mavis Becon. This range of kids software and edutainment is the first ever set of titles officially announced for the system and seem totally at odds with the alleged power of the machine and its positioning as primarily a video games system.
