The 23 former employees, who formed part of the team that developed the popular Medal Of Honor title, apparently took certain internal documents and code from EA when they started up their own studio, Spark Unlimited, located in Tarzana, CA. According to the memo, EA filed suit in federal court in Los Angeles earlier this month, in order to get back the proprietary materials. As part of the deal, the defendants have not admitted any impropriety or illegal behavior. EA also received a settlement payment to cover the legal costs plus damages, although the amount was not disclosed.
