Representatives from the "independent, artist-driven" game publisher Gamecock have announced a partnership with F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and Kohan series creator Timegate Studios to publish the developer's upcoming cross-platform shooter, Section 8. While few details have been yet been revealed, TimeGate president and CEO Adel Chaveleh calls the game the studio's “most ambitious project to date.” Scheduled for release sometime in 2009, the sci-fi shooter is the latest upcoming release to be added to Gamecock's already considerable portfolio, which includes an as yet unannounced next-gen title from Croteam (Serious Sam), and Stronghold developer Firefly Studios' upcoming dungeon crawler Dungeon Hero. GameCock's president and head of development Harry Miller added: “Often times we gather in the Cockpit to discuss the ideal developers we want to work with. TimeGate has always been at the top of the list. I can’t wait to let gamers know more about their upcoming masterpiece.”
