The upcoming Singapore-based GC Asia Conference, and the D.I.C.E. Summit Asia that occurs concurrently on GC Asia's first day, have announced three notable keynote addresses, including one from Sony Computer Entertainment Asia president Tetsuhiko Yasuda. Yasuda will be delivering a GC Asia talk entitled "The Challenge of Content Development within the South East Asia Region," addressing issues including copyright protection, developer training, and exporting Asian-developed entertainment content worldwide. The D.I.C.E. Summit gains two more speakers: SCE Worldwide Studios senior VP Yasuhide Kobayashi and Wizet Studio general director Eundo Chae. Kobayashi, producer of the Everybody's Golf (Hot Shots Golf in North America) series, plans to speak to D.I.C.E. attendees about the challenges of "cultured localization," creating content that can cross cultural bounds. Chae hails from Wizet Studio, a Nexon subsidiary responsible for the enormously successful MMO Maple Story, which hosts a user base of more than 65 million. Like his fellow lecturers, he will speak about what was involved in creating a property that speaks to players worldwide. The speakers announced today join previously-announced industry figures Chris Taylor (Supreme Commander, Demigod) and Masaya Matsuura (PaRappa the Rapper, Major Minor's Majestic March), who are also giving D.I.C.E. addresses. GC Asia is set to occur on September 17 and 18 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center. D.I.C.E. Summit Asia will be held on September 17 at the same location.
