The little known Gizmondo portable console is about to launch in the UK, with the company (a subsidiary of Tiger Telematics) aiming to ship half a million units in the UK and 3.2 million world-wide by the end of 2004. Shown at this year’s E3, the device will go on sale in the UK in the first week of September at £229 ($420). It will be supported by eleven software titles, selling for between £19.99 and £29.99 ($37 to $55) with thirty-four titles expected to be available by the end of the year.
