While many gamemakers and publishers are releasing less-than-satisfying quarterly financial results this month, Microsoft Game Studios instead announced a large-scale advertising campaign for its next blockbuster hopeful, Halo 2 for Xbox. Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios hired cinematic trailer creators The Ant Farm to make a film trailer for Halo 2, which is due out November 9. About 1,500 movie theaters have agreed to air the game’s ad this summer.
