The International Game Developers Association has five seats on its board of directors up for election, and the list of candidates seeking a spot has been revealed. 23 individuals will vie for one of the spots -- of which there is one more available than the customary four elected each year, because of the resignation of controversial Edge Games founder Tim Langdell last year. IGDA directors serve three-year board terms before their seats can be opened to new nominees, although existing directors finishing their terms can run for re-election. Any member of the game developer trade body for more than two years in good standing is eligible to seek seats. The new candidates have each posted a 400-word personal statement to help voters familiarize themselves with each individual's background and personal philosophy. Voting will take place February 14-28. Further info and a full list of the candidates is now available on the IGDA's official site for the election.
