The International Game Developers Association is calling for submissions for the third annual IGDA Leadership Forum this November. The conference is aimed at game developers in leadership positions, and for those who want to cultivate their leadership skills, from producers, leads, project managers, studio directors and more. Last year's event featured sessions from Mark Cerny, Microsoft's David Edery and many others, and hosted over 330 delegates from over 12 countries. This year, the IGDA Leadership Forum maintains the same three-track format, with Personal, Project and Studio tracks covering a variety of lectures, panels and interactive workshops. The Personal Leadership sessions cover skills needed for successful leaders, such as effective communication, entrepreneurialism and problem-solving. The Project Leadership tracks focus on the "nuts and bolts" of game production, methodologies, best practices, risk assessment and more. The Studio Leadership sessions cover larger-scale topics beyond a single project or team, such as the economy, multi-site management, retention strategies and studio lifecycle, to name just a few. The IGDA's Program Committee is now accepting proposals from speakers for all three tracks, and all submissions must be received by May 1. The Committee will also hear suggestions for topics and feedback on areas of interest to attendees. Interested parties can find further information at the IGDA's official website.
