IndieCade has announced an open call for games submissions for its 2008 independent game event. The IndieCade 2008 festival is set to begin July 10-13 in Bellevue, Seattle, kicking off a series of global showcases of independent games. IndieCade invites independent game artists and designers to submit their work for consideration, and is accepting a variety of interactive media forms including art, commercial, ARG, abstract and serious games from around the globe. The organizers also encourage work-in-progress. Winners will be selected by a panel of industry professionals, and all entries will also be considered for presentation at IndieCade's other showcase exhibitions. The deadline for submissions is April 11th, 2008 at midnight PST. The gallery exhibition, featuring games selected by the international jury, will be open to the public and will feature speakers, workshops and designers, as well as ongoing creative and social gameplay. Event organizers include IndieCade founder Stephanie Barish, festival Chair Celia Pearce, festival Director Sam Roberts, and Open Satellite Exhibition director Abigail Guay. Interested parties may find further information on the event at its official site, http://www.indiecade.com.
