Startup Infinium Labs has announced a change in the date and location for the introduction of its Phantom Game Console.
Due to the rescheduling of the Ultimate Gamers Expo, Infinium has decided to unveil the product at midnight, August 17th at its two Web sites—InfiniumLabs.com and Phantom.net. (The company is also exploring the possibility of exhibiting the console at Fall COMDEX.) Few details about the Phantom console have been released, but the company’s Web site makes it clear that the console will use an Intel processor, PC components, will run PC games, and is designed for broadband connections—to enable distribution of games, patches, upgrades, and to support multi-player games.
