Infogrames Q2 Revenue, Profits Up Sharply

Infogrames announced results for fiscal Q2, which ended December 31, posting a 31% increase in net revenues over last year, to $210.6 million. Net income was also up sharply, to $30.1 million (43 cents per share) -- a 147% increase over last year.

The company cited the following highlights during the quarter:

  • The release of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai for the PlayStation 2

    • Dora the Explorer: Backpack Adventure and Dora the Explorer: Lost City Adventure, which ranked #1 and #2, respectively, on the PC Education charts for October-December 2002, according to NPDTechworld

    • Unreal Championship, a launch for Xbox Live, which ranked as the company's #3 best-selling game for the period

    • RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which ranked #3 among all PC games for the quarter according to NPDTechworld

    • The closing of a $50 million credit facility with GE Commercial Finance's Corporate Lending business. Shares of the company were up slightly today, closing at $2.15 -- up one percent.
