Although both primary Nintendo consoles are still supply constrained, Wii sales were up by almost 6,500 to a total of 58,644 units sold. The PlayStation 2 remained the fourth best selling console of the week, with sales up nearly 500 units to 11,311. As a result, the PlayStation 3 was again left to linger in fifth place, even though sales were up nearly 1,000 units to 9,627. This was the console’s third concurrent week with a sales figure of less than 10,000 units, with again no software titles in the top fifty. Despite the success of Forza Motorsport 2, which entered the software charts this week at number eleven, Xbox 360 sales were up by only 18 units to a total of 2,044. The Game Boy Advance family of consoles saw sales fall by 79 units to 712 and the GameCube was down 20 to 256 for the week.
