Online, subscription entertainment provider Turbine Entertainment Software Corp. announced that it has signed a deal with Jolt Online Gaming to run the Asheron’s Call online fantasy series in Europe, according to a Turbine press release issued today. The agreement stipulates that “Jolt will hold the exclusive right to distribute, operate, and support Asheron’s Call and Asheron’s Call 2: Fallen Kings online services in Europe.” Jolt officials say they expect the launch of both games to occur in Europe in 2005. “Online gaming continues to grow in Europe and we recognize the importance of Europe in our future,” Turbine’s president and CEO Jeffrey Anderson said in the press release. “Jolt is the best choice to provide European players with the same levels of access, connectivity, and customer support that our North American players enjoy.”
