Kaydara Inc. has announced its plans to support Mac OS X as the single Unix platform it will support for the upcoming MOTIONBUILDER 5 character animation tool, leaving just it and Windows XP as the supported platforms—dropping the current support for Red Hat Linux. Kaydara has made this desision based on its own projections, on feedback from customers, and the release of the new Power Mac G5, which the company describes as “a breakthrough in desktop processing power. …an ideal solution for all professional 3D artists.” MOTIONBUILDER 5 is expected to be available by Mid-August.
