Ubisoft employees (and Tom Clancy) have enjoyed a excellent week of sales with Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow going straight into the number one slot and Far Cry performing extremely well for a PC only title in the UK. Pandora Tomorrow becomes the third fastest selling Xbox game ever in the UK, behind Halo and the original Splinter Cell. Far Cry, meanwhile, is the first selling PC DVD title ever, taking the title from last week’s Unreal Tournament 2004. GameCube only title The Twin Snakes has also performed better than expected, outselling all versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance – to which it is most obviously comparable. No mean feat given the GameCube’s small installed user base in the UK.
