Rumors have begun to circulate concerning a possible buyout of Peter Molyneux’s Lionhead Studios. The reports began with respected trade paper MCV, which has suggested that Microsoft and Activision could be the front runners in any future deal. The studio was established in 1997 by industry guru Peter Molyneux, after his departure from Bullfrog – which he had previously sold to Electronic Arts. Lionhead staff have refused to comment on the rumors but MCV’s sources suggest an announcement could be imminent. Source: MCV
