Logitech has announced a new SDK which lets you add USB mouse and keyboard for PS2 games. With the advent of online console games, Logitech sees support for keyboards and mice as helping PS2 players with online chat, and as a good input device for games in the RPG and FPS genres. Logitech will release a PS2-branded keyboard and mouse later this year, as well as a device called the Netplay (a USB keyboard/controller combination device, seen in the accompanying image). Netplay has already shipped in Japan to support the launch of Final Fanatsy XI. But as stated earlier, this SDK is not specific to Logitech hardware. Email [email protected] for more details.
