Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Looking for case study for game mechanic that will help me in developing a game for my children.
Movement based on action is a concept I would like to explore for ease of play among young children. My two older children who are 5 and 3 are not great at controlling character movement in games. One game they are always asking me to play is Street Fighter 2. I think it is because the game is to the point. They can jump right in. Also they press a button and get results. Easy. So I wonder if there are games that have this mechanic that not only tell a character model to punch or kick, but that actually make the character move in a certain direction or do a specific task based on that action.
Looking for case studies regarding this idea. If you know of any games that do this please leave a comment. I mentioned developing for children but as far as the case study goes anything is okay. It is just an example I will use for reference. The rating does not matter to me.
Appreciate the support. Thanks!
