My opinion is that to grow the video game industry, we need more public viewing of many titles be playing.

Now on-line era, we are becoming to play games on personal devices in personal space. We are separatist if you could call. We don't know another titles that we don't purchase, not interested in, and don't search for. Encountering "unknown" is truly becoming rare. As game player has become more strengthen his/her own favorite, and developer is creating a new titles of popular series in FPS, RPG. Then diveristy is losing in
video game industry.

When I was a teenager in 1980's, playing games was mainly on a table cabinet in game center. Anybody could watch the other's playing and learned how to play, how to get a secret bonus.

- When I was playing the Tower of the Druaga (NAMCO, 1983), a guy was teaching how to emerge the treasure from my back.

- I was a good shooter. one day I asked to play GRADIUS II (KONAMI, 1988) by 40 years old man, he gave me 100 yen to play.

- I liked to surprise the galary watching my play not using the bomb to fight the stage boss of RAIDEN II (Seibu Kaihatsu, 1993).

Public viewing make the chance player to know another titles , to know each other, and to build the community. New titles were soon played by someone, then started to discuss in the off-line community. It is important that anybody can know other's critiques, criteria, evaluation of games. So player got his/her own criteria, and developer can't ignore player's evaluation. Then Good games coming in the market.

Of course, now anybody can watch other's playing too many titles on YouTube. Still you know, Off-line meeting is much more efficient to develop your player skills.
