Officials from LucasArts have confirmed that the company has laid off 29 employees from its San Rafael, California headquarters, reducing the total number of staff from 430 to 418. A spokesman has said that the cuts were made "to bring studio staffing levels into line with the current development slate." Company representatives, however, refused to comment on the status of their recruiting for a new president and director of marketing (the former post has been vacant since last October).
