Mad Catz has said the branded accessories, featuring the logos and colors of each of the 30 NHL teams, are expected to be sold through online and team stores as well as standard retail outlets. The NHL deal sees the company now producing "licensed accessories for fans of each of North America’s four major sports leagues," said company CEO and president Darren Richardson. NHL consumer products executive VP said the league was "proud align the NHL and its fans with these products." Said Richardson, "This full suite of sports licenses uniquely positions Mad Catz to provide retailers and fans with compelling, stylish and entertaining sports-themed video game controllers and accessories."
