A report in Haymarket Marketing Magazine suggests that Microsoft is planning to spend up to £3 million ($5m) on Xbox promotions in Europe over the next few months. The company has hired specialist marketing firm Tequila London as well as signing cross-promotional deals with companies such as BT, MTV and Interbrew. The company is also continuing to insist that it will not be lowering the price of the console in Europe, despite the positive effect such a move has had on GameCube sales.
