Video game marketing event MI6 will feature keynotes from One Laptop Per Child founder Nicholas Negroponte and Cadbury's Gary Osifchin, organizers announced. The 4th annual event is set for April 8 in San Francisco, and includes other speakers, sessions and panels focused on marketers' needs. This year, the event is slimming down to a two-track, one-day show, while expanding its focus to include a specific focus on casual gaming in this year's sessions. Negroponte will give the event's Inspiration Keynote on the social impact of the intersection of emerging media tech with gaming. Osifchin is marketing VP for Cadbury's Stride brand, which has partnered with video game properties like Rock Band and Major League Gaming. He will talk about game industry-oriented marketing strategies and the potential of social media. Other sessions include "Casual to the Core: Redefining the Gaming Dynamic"; "PR Rules of Engagement"; "State of Our Art" and the return of the "Gaming 20/20" panel. "As the industry continues to thrive despite the challenging economic climate, MI6 is more valuable than ever, bringing videogame marketers together to meet, share best practices, and learn how to maintain industry growth," said MI6 president Jonathan Block-Verk.
