Microsoft Details On-Demand Games, Avatar Clothing Brands For Dashboard Update

When Microsoft's new Fall Dashboard Update for Xbox 360 rolls out on August 11, it'll bring Games on Demand to the Xbox Live service, launching the digital distribution offering the company announced at E3. Now, the company details which games will be part of Games on Demand. The company is also expanding content around its Avatars system, offering a clothing shop with a broader line-up of outfits from real-world vendors like Adidas, Quiksilver, Roxy and Tokidoki, and making available fashion categories like "Steampunk" and "Recessionista". Players will also be able to earn Avatar clothing by playing games, Microsoft says. Other previously announced forthcoming features updates, such as support for Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm, appear to be coming later in the fall, rather than as part of the August 11 update.
