Midway Announces Five Nintendo Exclusives For 2007

Representatives from publisher Midway have announced five new titles exclusive to Nintendo formats coming in November, including a Wii Cruis'n title, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat and the Cartoon Network licensed Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends for the Nintendo DS. Midway says Ultimate Mortal Kombat, expected in November combines Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with the puzzle action Puzzle Kombat of Mortal Kombat: Deception in a single package, with new record-keeping capabilities, and internet multiplayer via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The new Wii exclusive version of Midway's classic arcade racer Cruis'n is expected to feature a number of licensed cars and will use the Wii Remote to steer and perform stunts. The simply titled Wii exclusive Game Party will offer more than a half dozen "classic skill games" from around the world including darts, table hockey, hoop shoot and trivia contests, in what Midway calls "the ultimate party game." The Cartoon Network licensed DS title Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invaders will let players take on the role of "head mischief-maker" Blooregard Q. Kazoo as you fend off an invasion of Space Nut Boogies. Players will "explore the Foster’s house, sneak past the Space Nut Boogie guards, and gather Mac, Coco, Eduardo and the rest of the gang to rescue Madame Foster." Finally, Maya the Bee licensed The Bee Game will be coming to the DS and, notably, the Game Boy Advance this fall. Players will control Maya and her friend Willie as they take on challenges and complete mini-games to find clues to the whereabouts of their bee friends blown away from the corn poppy meadow by a strong storm.
