After five years with embattled publisher Midway, marketing VP Mona Hamilton now takes a similar role at Capcom, where she'll head up the company's marketing operations, creative services and communications in North America.
Midway marketing VP Mona Hamilton has left the company to take the same role at Capcom, the company says. Hamilton will now head up Capcom's marketing operations, creative services and communications in North America. She spent five years with Midway, which has recently come up against dire financial straits. She's also worked in branding at Ubisoft and at Lewis Galoob toys, and in 2006, the Women in Games International Organization named her one of its top 100 influential women in the games industry. In 2006, Hamilton was named one of the Top 100 Influential Women in the games industry by the Women in Games International organization. Se's also on the board of directors for game marketing organization MI6. "Mona and I have worked together successfully in the past and I’m pleased to welcome the addition of her management style and marketing perspective to the group here at Capcom," says chief operating officer and consumer software publishing head Mark Beaumont. "Capcom has a number of high profile titles coming, and her skill set will bring a critical level of organization and creativity to help support the company’s corporate goals."
