Former THQ VP of publishing Scott Guthrie will now head up the publishing group management team at MTV Games, taking the role of executive VP and general manager. He'll be tasked with directing publishing strategy, marketing, sales and distribution of products like Harmonix's Rock Band, reporting to MTV Networks Music & Logo group president Van Toffler. David Cox, Sony Computer Entertainment America's former senior director of sales and merchandising also joins MTV Games as senior VP of sales, where he'll work with distribution partner Electronic Arts to "maximize the breadth of catalogue" and manage relationships with retail buyers. Toffler hopes the leadership expansion will "bring MTV Games to the next level." "We're going after the best in music video gaming with Rock Band and the best in storytelling with our Bruckheimer partnership, and now we have the best leaders and team in place," he says.
