Casual developer and publisher MumboJumbo (Luxor) has announced that it acquired Russia-based developer Hot Lava (7 Wonders), whose CEO will now be joining MumboJumbo as its vice president of product development. MumboJumbo says former Hot Lava CEO Matt Lichtenwalter, has had ten years of development and product launch expertise, and brings with him a development team lead by noteworthy senior staff. Lichtenwalter notes that he has "worked closely with the team at MumboJumbo for some time now," with its casual hit 7 Wonders being published by the company, along with its Reaxxion and Haiku Journey. Said MumboJumbo founder Ron Dimant, “Matt has an in-depth understanding of the development process and we are proud to bring on board the fresh and creative talent that both he and his team have to offer. We feel that this move further supports MumboJumbo’s position as a leader in premium casual games.”
