Officials from Namco have announced the company’s fiscal first half results with figures exceeding even their own recently increased estimates. Final earnings for the period were ¥3.7 billion ($34.0m) on sales of ¥83.6 billion ($768.1m). Projects earnings were ¥6.6 billion ($60.6m) on sales of ¥174.6 billion ($1.6bn). This represents a 14% increase in sales and a 180% increase in profits thanks to the global success of Soulcalibur II and Japanese titles such as Taiko no Tatsujin and Tales of Symphonia.
