NEC America announced earlier this week that the NEC 515 High Definition Mobile (HDM) i-mode phone [press release (PDF)] will be available through AT&T Wireless starting July 28th. The 515 HDM is a GSM/GPRS i-mode phone, supporting games and other programs created with DoJa—a version of Java created specifically for mobile phones, by a partnership between NTT DoCoMo and Sun. The 515 HDM features a 2.5 inch, 65K color screen, and 40-note polyphonic ringtones. It will come pre-loaded with several games, including a demo version of dwango Star Diversion.
