Representatives from NEC have announced that the company will be selling 70% of its shares in game development studio NEC Interchannel to Index Corporation, a Japanese Internet and mobile phone developer, for ¥3 billion ($28.4m). On acquiring the shares the studio will be renamed to Interchannel and Fumihiro Hamuro will be announced as the new president and current president Yasushi Kurokawa will become chairman. Hamuro is currently president of Index Corporations’ subsidiary Index Magazines. Source: The Magic Box
