Members of the ELSPA (Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association) board have endorsed the launch of a new trade exhibition called the European Games Network (EGN), to take place from 1st to 3rd September 2004, at the ExCeL venue in London. At the same time it has also been announced that a spin-off from the Game Stars industry awards TV show will be hosting its own consumer even from the 1st to 5th September at the same venue. The twin events will run in direct competition to the ailing ECTS trade show, which is currently scheduled for the 1st to 3rd September at London’s Earls Court. Whether ECTS 2004 will now be rescheduled, or even cancelled, is not clear at this time.
