According to Reuters, Nintendo announced today announced a forthcoming wireless module for the Gameboy Advance that will enable wireless networked game play within a small area. The announcement was made at the Tokyo Game Show, and the module will be bundled for free with several forthcoming games, including Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata described the technology as being similar to Bluetooth, although complete technical details are not yet available.
