In an interview with Japanese newspaper Jiji Press, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has claimed the company is on target to meet its sales estimates for the GameCube in March 2004, following a strong Christmas in all major territories. The company’s target is 6 million units in the year ended March 2004, a target which was originally thought to be overly optimistic by most analysts.
