Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) president David Reeves has stated that the PlayStation Portable (PSP) will not feature region coding for its games, in a similar manner to the Game Boy. Reeves also confirmed that the PSP had received an extra amount of RAM, compared to its original spec, for a total of 30MB – broken down into 24MB of main RAM, 4MB of video RAM and 2MB of general purpose media processor RAM. Despite repeated delays, full development systems for the PSP are expected to ship to developers in the coming weeks. Source: gamesindustry.biz
