According to Reuters, Nokia plans on a huge push to make its forthcoming N-Gage game console/cellphone a success. As of the product’s launch tomorrow, Nokia plans on having the unit on sale in 30,000 locations, with the hopes of selling several million units in 2004. Although the company is targeting a launch before the Christmas season, only 20 or so games will be available by then, with many more planned games not shipping until 2004. In the press release, Nokia said that the N-Gage Arena on-line gaming services will be offered free of charge to consumers for a trial period (excluding data charges from the service providers).
