NPD has delayed its September 2009 U.S. console retail charts from its regular Thursday release to Monday, October 19th, citing "last minute processing requirements" for the change. According to a email received by Gamasutra from NPD representative David Riley: "We have just released a communication to our clients, explaining that, due to last minute processing requirements, the NPD Video Games Retail Tracking information for September 2009 will now be released on Monday, October 19." Riley added: "We will issue our media advisory at 6:30pm EST on Monday. We apologize for the inconvenience." Gamasutra will cover the results in full on Monday when they are now released. In addition, as a result of this, Gamasutra's traditional in-depth NPD analysis article -- originally scheduled to debut on Monday -- will publish later next week instead.
