Open Letter to Feminists in Video Games from an Asian

If you're disappointed about the lack of video games that cater to you, why don't you start making games yourselves that you will enjoy? That's what we're doing.

Being a Filipino, I see that there's a lack of Filipino video games out there. But I've yet to see people complain about it. Instead, I've seen Filipinos eke out making Filipino games (Streetfood TycoonSIPA: Street Kick!). It's not much, and we're just starting. But what you can be sure of, is we don't expect anyone else to do it for us.

Heck, I even read that among Asians that are humiliated/maligned in the West (read: Middle East), there are those that instead devote their efforts on creating games that voice their opinions (Run for PeaceCrowds: Voices of Tahrir).

If you're disappointed about the lack of video games that cater to you, why don't you start making games yourselves that you will enjoy?

That's what we're doing.

Regards,

Asians everywhere
