Consumers of the new Spider-Man 2 videogame on PC are tangled in a web of jealousy, saying the console version of the game—which has similar cover art as the PC version—has more versatile swinging features, Reuters reported today. The movement and control of Spidey’s signature web swinging from New York skyscrapers was to be the seller point for the game. The console game was developed by Treyarch, but the PC’s origins lie in Fizz Factor Game Studios, although the retail-packaging for both is nearly identical. The differences between the two: the console-based game costs about $50 and are rated T for Teen, whereas the PC game costs only about $30 and is rated E for Everyone. The PC version is also subtitled “The Game.” Look for a Postmortem of the console game in an upcoming issue of Game Developer magazine.
