Erstwhile console manufacturer Phantom Entertainment has announced that, following its $1.3 million loan agreement, it has partnered with ProGames Network to bring lapboards and its planned game distribution service to hotels worldwide. The company says the ProGames deal will see placement of its bespoke Phantom Lapboard and the Phantom Game Service to hotels in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Not much has yet been detailed on further plans for its Game Service in quite some time, and the new announcement neglects to mention an arrival date for the service, but the ProGames Network provides a number of big name casual and standard titles such as Civilization 4, Monopoly 3, and Virtual Villagers. MobilePro subsidiary ProGames Network is a wireless broadband company that focuses on "developing tools, content and specialized connectivity for online gamers," offering "brand name mobile and online games through its well established distribution channels." Said Phantom president and CEO Greg Koler, “We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to provide our Phantom Wireless Lapboard and Phantom Game Service content to Pro Games Network for placement in hotel rooms worldwide. We believe this opportunity will demonstrate that hotels and other location-based providers can offer video game entertainment as part of their marketing efforts."
